OASIS-C and Pressure Ulcers: Test Your Knowledge

Test your knowledge about OASIS-C and reporting pressure ulcers.

A patient is admitted for treatment of congestive heart failure. Checking his past record, the RN learns that he received treatment for a Stage III ulcer two years ago. On admission, he has no wounds. He is discharged five weeks later with no further skin issues.

Determine the response to these data elements at the specified time:

a. M1308, current number of unhealed (non-epithelialized) pressure ulcers at each stage, at discharge
b. M1320, stage of the most problematic (observable) pressure ulcer

Come back to OASIS-Central on Wednesday for the answers!
